KERNERSVILLE - Evelyn Stafford Fulp, 83, died Thursday, Jan. 12, 2006, at her home. She was born Sept. 3, 1922, in Forsyth County to the late Pervis Leland and Martha Jane Crews Stafford. Mrs. Fulp was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church. Evelyn was the "backbone" in helping to run Fulp's Tree Farm, Inc. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. Fulp. Surviving are three children, Robert D. Fulp Jr. and Dave L. Fulp, both of Kernersville, and Beth Fulp Johnson of Clemmons; two daughters in-law, Jenny Smith Fulp and Rusla Whitley Fulp; seven grandchildren, Jessica and Jordan Johnson, Whitley and Haley Fulp, Alyon, Lera and Nadya Fulp; and two sisters, Ada Belle Marshall and Rachel Potts, both of Kernersville. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 15, at Mount Gur Cemetery, with the Rev. Don Lloyd officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Jan. 14, at Hayworth-Miller-Cain Funeral Home in Kernersville. In loving memory of Evelyn, the family requests that memorials be directed to Main Street United Methodist Church Building Fund, 306 S. Main St., Kernersville, NC 27284.
