HIGH POINT — Mr. James David "J. D." Stafford, 53, resident of High Point, passed away March 28, 2013 at High Point Regional Hospital. A resident of this area for most his life, J. D. was born on November 25, 1959 in Grayson County Virginia to Yvetta Lee Wilson Stafford and Jimmy Edward Stafford. The love of J. D.'s life was Deboraha Stafford, with whom he had built his life with for nearly 32 years. On March 11, 1988, they married. James enjoyed blues music, playing guitar, and attending concerts. Surviving is his wife, Deboraha Stafford; mother, Yvetta Stafford; grandmother, Vada Wilson; brother, Greg Stafford (Christy) of Lenoir; sisters, Rhonda Cox (Greg) of Kernersville, Katie Howerton ( Donald Ray) of Stokesdale, and Christina Glover of Kernersville. Also surviving are his beloved dogs, Sugar, Squirt, Tarra, Sasha, Bella, and his cat, Pearl.
A celebration of J. D.'s life will be held at 2pm Tuesday at Church of Christ in Kernersville with Rev. Vance Holbrook officiating. Burial will follow in the Kernersville Church of Christ Cemetery. A meal will follow the committal service at the church, where all are invited to attend. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm Monday at Sechrest Funeral Service, 120 Trindale Rd, Archdale. Pallbearers will be Milo Woods, David Kirkman, Ray Klumb, Keith Klumb, Kemp Wilson, and David McDaniel. Singers with be Robin Hinshaw and J. D.'s sisters in law.
