WINSTON-SALEM - Miss Jean Frances Stafford, 50, of Winston-Salem, passed away on February 7, 2011 at Salem Terrace Assisted Living. Miss Stafford was born on July 26, 1960 in Forsyth County. Miss Stafford was a member of Southside Baptist Church and she especially enjoyed arts and crafts. Jean was a loving daughter and sister and friend to all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her father, Ray N. Stafford. She is survived by her mother, Betty S. Stafford of Winston-Salem; two sisters, Sherrill Heckler and husband Ken of Kernersville and Donna Locke and husband Ed of Winston-Salem; one brother, Michael Stafford and wife Gail of Rocky Mount, NC; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted today, Wednesday, at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Stanleyville with the Rev. Eddie Honeycutt and Rev. Ed Locke officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Westlawn Gardens of Memory. The family wishes to express a grateful thank you to the staff at Salem Terrace for the loving care they showed towards Jean in the time she spent there. Memorials may be sent in memory of Miss Stafford to Salem Terrace Assisted Living at 2609 Old Salisbury Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27127.
