Oak Ridge Pauline Brendle Stafford, 92, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2016 at Moses Cone Hospital. Pauline was born August 7, 1924 in Guilford County to Eugene and Ida White Brendle. She was an active member of Oak Ridge United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school for over 50 years. Pauline retired from the U.S. Post Office at Oak Ridge with 38 years of service. In addition to her parents, Pauline was preceded in death by one sister, Anne Brendle and one brother, Jack Brendle. Surviving are her husband, Alvah Payne Stafford, of the home; two daughters, Judy L. Crews (Bobby) and Paulette Greeson (Billy) both of Oak Ridge; one grandson, James Hall (Jody) of Mocksville; three great-grandchildren, Max, Alexis and Aidan Hall; and one sister, Verna Huff of Grove City, OH. A graveside service will be held at Oak Ridge United Methodist Church Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 17, 2016 with Dr. Craig Kocher officiating.
