Blanche Stafford Parker, 90,of Mooresville, passed away Monday, Feb. 18, 2008 at Rowan Regional Medical Center. Born April 12, 1917 in Rockingham, she was the daughter of the late Dave and Stella Rice Stafford. She was retired from Lowrance Hospital as a nursing assistant. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Thompson, Charlie "Mac" McFarland and Fred Parker; son, James Corbin Thompson; and two brothers and three sisters.
Mrs. Parker is survived by her children, Bobby Thompson and wife, Betsy, of Rockwell, Doris Russell of China Grove; stepchildren, Rev. Joe Parker and wife, Carolyn, of Lenoir, Don Parker of Mooresville, Jane Kiker and husband, Bill, of Lexington, S.C., Margaret Murdock and husband, Jim, of Mt. Ulla, and Allen Parker and wife, Margaret, of Pelzer, S.C.; six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, 10 stepgrandchildren and 10 step-great-grandchildren. Cavin-Cook Funeral Home in Mooresville, is serving the Parker family.
