Yvonne Delores Slaney went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 4, 2014 at the age of 81. Yvonne was born in Goldsboro, NC on August 30, 1932 to Laura Etta Braswell and Needham Martin Stafford. She spent her growing up years on a farm between Pine Level and Princeton. After graduating from Pine Level High School, she attended Campbell College and then Wake Forest University receiving a teaching certificate with an English major and minor in Math. After raising five children and finishing a teaching career, Yvonne focused her attention on serving the Lord as the President of Bountiful Christian Fellowship and Director of Pine Tree Retreat. In addition to those responsibilities, Yvonne had other ministry opportunities including being President of the Johnston County Chapter of Women's Aglow (Aglow International) and being a member of the International Christian Embassy, Jerusalem. As a member of the ICEJ, Yvonne was able to visit Israel five times to attend a gathering of Christians from around the world who wants to display their support for Israel. Yvonne also assisted her daughter's ministry: Faith Warriors Ministry Center (Located on Pine Tree Retreat). Yvonne published a book entitled "The 12 Rules for Living" which outlines some of her views on how to live the Christian life.
