  Charlotte Observer, The (NC) - Friday, June 5, 2009 Deceased Name: David William Stafford Charlotte NC United States David William Stafford 'Paw Paw' Mr. Stafford, 69, of Mint Hill, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at his home. A service to celebrate Mr. Stafford's life will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 6, 2009 at Robinson Presbyterian Church with Reverend C. Lee Proctor officiating. Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery. Mr. Stafford was born June 27, 1939 in Anson County, the son of the late John Franklin Stafford and Mary Julia Martin Stafford. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Krell Stafford. Mr. Stafford was a 1957 graduate of Harding High School. He was a member of the Air Force National Guard from 1959 until 1965 and retired after thirty-one years of service with IBM. Mr. Stafford will be remembered by his family as a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Robinson Presbyterian Church, 9424 Harrisburg Rd., Charlotte, NC 28215 or Mint Hill Baptist Church, 7835 Matthews - Mint Hill Rd., Mint Hill, NC 28227.
