Obituary: Jamestown NY Evening Journal, May 21, 1917
SIMEON VINCENT
Simeon Vincent died Sunday afternoon at the family home, 10 Flagg avenue, aged 73 years, 1 month and 7 days. He is survived by his wife, Mary E. Stafford Vincent, and five children, Edwin C., William, George, Lewis and Mrs. Ernest Cornell, all of Jamestown; one brother, Lorenzo C. Vincent of Elsie, Mich., one half-brother, J. E. Vincent of Fredonia and two half-sisters, Misses Sarah and Eva Ticknor of Erie, Pa. Mr. Vincent was a member of the Free Methodist church. The funeral will be held from the home Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock.

FUNERAL OF MR. VINCENT
The funeral of Simeon Vincent was held Tuesday afternoon from the family home, 10 Flagg avenue, Rev. L. A. Southworth, pastor of the Free Methodist church, officiating. Music was furnished by Mrs. Lena A. Southworth and Mariam Blood, George Himebaugh and Charles Tuxford, and the bearers, all relatives, were Lewis, William, Harry, George and DeVilla Vincent and Ernest Gornall.
Among the floral tributes were pieces from the Free Methodist church, Vincent Draying company's employes, the city draymen, Loyal Order of Moose, Exempt Firemen, Empire Worsted Mills, Jamestown Aerie, F. O. R. Mothers' club of School No. 7, Jamestown Hardware company, Jamestown Bowling company. The interment was in Lake View cemetery.
Those present from away were Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Vincent, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Rainor of Fredonia, Mrs. Jane Abbey, George Abbey, John Stafford, Mrs. Charles Stafford of Forestville, Mrs. Amelia Whitaker, Wallace Stafford of Silver Creek, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Stafford and daughter Fern, of Mayville, Mr. and Mrs. William Ticknor of Westfield.
