Mrs. Mae Stafford Adams
Mrs. Mae Stafford Adams, 70, wife of Walter Ray Adams, died yesterday at the Hoosick Falls Health Center after a long illness. She was born Sept 14, 1893, in Willsboro. She resided in Cambridge the last 18 years. She was a member of Cambridge Valley Chapter OES, and a former member and past matron of Evergreen Chapter, OES, of Poultney, Vt. She was a member of the Cambridge Saddle Club and Capt. Maxson Unit, American Legion Auxiliary.
Besides her husband she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Arlene Hastings of Belleville, N.J., and Mrs. Virginia Lyman of Oakfield; one brother, Walter K. Stafford of Willsboro; one sister, Mrs. Lettie S. Warren of Kearny, N.J., and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be tomorrow at 2 pm from the O.K. Spurr Funeral Home, Cambridge, Rev. William E.G. Doxsey, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, Cambridge, officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Salem.
