Survived by husband, Ronald W. Hansen; sons, Nathan Lee (Ann) Hansen of NY, Erik-Lars (Sarah) Hansen of VA; grandchildren, Lucas Lee and Mason Zane Hansen; brother, Guye (Madeline) Stafford of NC; sisters, Betty Sue (Worth) Pearce and Hilda (Clyde) Cook, all of NC.
Born in Hickory, NC, to Fred W and Iva Lee Stafford. Elizabeth graduated from East Carolina University with a degree in music, taught piano and earned an MS in Systems Analysis from the Graduate School of Management, University of Rochester. She worked in research and administrative positions at the Center for Governmental Research (Rochester), Eastman School of Music, The Ohio State College of the Arts and the University of Rochester. She owned her own publishing company and worked as a Realtor prior to retiring for health reasons. She was an active member of Third Presbyterian Church and especially loved participating in the choir.
