Cecil I. Goehner, age 84, of 133 Lake Road, Dryden, NY, passed away Wed., Dec. 10, 2008 at the Cayuga Medical Center [Ithaca], surrounded by loving family members.
Mrs. Goehner was born in McGraw, NY [abt 1924], a daughter of the late Cleon and Iva Stafford Stevens. On July 7, 1943, she was married to Elmer Goehner and resided in Dryden most of the rest of her life. She was an avid gardener and worked with her husband in building and remodeling homes and apartments. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and sister.
Survivors include her husband, Elmer of Dryden; her sons, Jerry Goehner of Whitehall, WI and Max (Bonnie} Goehner of Dryden; her daughter, Judy Tynyk of Newfield, NY; 16 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren; a brother, Robert (Lois) Stevens of Cortland; a daughter-in-law Barbara Goehner of Ithaca; a sister-in-law, Marilla Stevens of Cortland; nieces, nephews, cousins and her pet bunny, "Gorgeous".
She was predeceased by a son, Leslie Goehner; a brother, Leslie Stevens; a sister, laura Woodard; a grandson, Michael Goehner and a great great grandson, August Prosser.
Services and burial will be held at a later time." [Note: Body was cremated and ashes returned to family members].
