  Transcribed "in part" from "THE ITHACA JOURNAL" newspaper, Ithaca, NY dated Sat., Oct 31, 2009, page 4 "Elmer Goehner, age 83, of 133 Lake Road, Dryden, NY passed away Thursday, October 29, 2009 at home surrounded by loving family members. Mr. Goehner was born in Spencer, NY [July 17, 1926 as verified by funeral home], a son of Albert and Ida [VAN Steenburg] Goehner. On July 7, 1943, he was married to the former Cecil Stevens, who passed away December 10, 2008. Elmer resided in Dryden for most of his life and was a self employed carpenter and developed who build and remodeled homes and apartments. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and brother. Survivors include his sons Jerry Goehner of Whitehall, WI and Max (Bonnie) Goehner of Dryden; his daughter, Judy Tynyk of Newfield, NY; 16 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 16 Great, great grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Goehner of Ithaca; nieces, nephews, cousins; his dog, Sam. He was predeceased by a son, Leslie Goehner, a grandson, Michael Goehner; a great great grandson, August Prosser; and a brother, Robert Goehner. A celebration of Elmer's life will be held at 4 pm Sunday, November 1, 2009 at the Perkins Funeral Home with Rev.
