  Lawrence H. May, 86, of Manlius, died on Monday at University Hospital. Born in Manlius, he served with the US Navy during WWII. He retired from the NYS Department of Corrections in 1986 and worked part-time as a police officer with the Village of Manlius Police Department. Larry was a member of the Manlius American Legion, a volunteer fireman with the Manlius Fire Department and a trustee for the Manlius Village Cemetery. Survivors: his wife of 62 years, Fern; three sons, Lawrence H. May Jr. (Donna) of Jacksonville, FL, Donald L. of Chittenango, and David L. of New Hartford; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend special thanks to Star Davies for her love and care. Memorial Services: 1 p.m. Thursday at Newell-Fay Funeral Home. Burial to follow in Manlius Village Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home, 8171 Cazenovia Rd. (Rt. 92), Manlius.
