  The Winfield Daily Free Press Winfield, Kansas Saturday, January 20, 1912 Page 1 Morton S. Stafford Dead Was at Hospital in Kansas City but Not Thought Dangerous - Services Tomorrow Afternoon. Morton S. Stafford, brother of Grant Stafford of this city and son of Mrs. J.S. Stafford, died last night at the St. Joseph hospital in Kansas City. He had been ailing for some time but his condition was not considered serious. His death was a shock to his family. The deceased was an attorney and had lived in St. Louis and Kansas City after leaving Winfield. He is one of three sons of Mrs. J.S. Stafford of this city. Grant Stafford of this city. Grant Stafford went to Kansas City last evening to accompany the body, to this city. He is expected to arrive here this evening. The funeral services will be held at the home of Mrs. Stafford, 1120 Manning, tomorrow afternoon at 2:30. (transcribed by Judy Mayfield)
