  Edward R. Stafford, age 96, longtime resident of Richfield, MN, passed away peacefully January 31, 2015 at Grace Pointe Crossing Gables East in Cambridge, MN. The funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday, February 6, 2015 at Church of the Redeemer, 123 – 3rd N. Street, in Cannon Falls, MN with a visitation 1 hour prior. Edward was a member of the greatest generation, serving honorably in the US Army from June 1941 until March 1946, achieving the rank of First Lieutenant. He was a graduate of the University of New Hampshire, class of 1940 and a member of Sigma Chi fraternity. Edward was employed as a salesperson at Barry & Sewall Industrial Supply for many years. He was a member of the Richfield American Legion and was a Master Mason, Grand Lodge of Minnesota. Edward is survived by his son, Robert Stafford of Palm Springs, CA; daughter Jean (Stafford) & Terry Tobiason of Andover, MN; granddaughter, Maria Tobiason; grandson, Eric Tobiason.
