Rebecca married Newman Weeks in Clarendon, VT in 1848. Newman was the grandson of John and Thankful Slade Weeks. (John Weeks was an early settler from Washington, Conn., and located in Clarendon on a farm in 1787. Newman Weeks, of Rutland, is his grandson. From the "History of Rutland County Vermont with Illustrations and Biographical Sketches of Some of Its Prominent Men and Pioneers." Edited by Smith & Rann Syracuse, N. Y. D. Mason & Co., Publishers 1886 History of the Town of Rutland.) Rebecca was Newman's first wife. Newman is also buried in this cemetery.
Newman and Rebecca had at least three children: Robert N (buried in this cemetery), Martha/Mattie A (probably buried in this cemetery - there is a small stone in this area with no date and only the name Martha on it), and Lois (also probably buried in this cemetery - there is a small stone in this area with no date and only the name Lois on it).
