Stephen F. Stafford, 64, of Ashland, went home to the Lord, Sunday, November 17, at his home.
Stephen was born January 15, 1955, in Vanceburg, Kentucky, a son of the late Mack and Joyce Ann Evans Stafford.
He was retired from the Environmental Services department of Kings Daughters Medical Center, was a member of the Hoods Creek Freewill Baptist Church, an ordained minister in the Boyd County Conference, and served in the ministry 34 years.
Stephen was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by his loving wife Sheila Clevenger Stafford; a daughter, Leeanna Wright; a granddaughter, Kimberly Dawn Barker; a son-in-law, Donald Barker; and a brother, John A. Stafford.
Surviving include 2 loving daughters, April Cade, and husband Kevin, of Boyd County, and Stephanie Greene and husband Shaun of Ashland; 7 grandchildren, Savanah Wright, Amber Barker, Sarah Wright, Christian Wright, Alexis Greene, Luke Greene, and Brianna Cade; a great-grandson, Jacob Matthew Hicks; 2 brothers, Charles and Jack Stafford, both of Ashland; and a sister, Bonita 'Gail' Chinn of Ashland.
Funeral Services will be Friday, November 22, at 1 p.m. at PRESTON FAMILY FUNERAL HOME by pastor Chuck McCormick and pastor Sheldon Wheeler. Burial will be in the Coalton Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 11 a.m. until service time.
