Roger Dale Stafford, age 73, of Maysville, Kentucky, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Thursday, June 7, 2018, at the Maysville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in Maysville. He was born on April 3, 1945, to the late Nile and Mary Belcher Stafford. Roger spent his life as a devoted husband and father. He served his country in the United States Army and spent many years with Stafford Sanitation, farming and techno-trim. He loved golfing, spending time on his farm and being with his family. He will be greatly missed by all that who him. Roger struggled in the last few months of his life as his earthly body failed him, but he has a new, never failing body and free from pain. He had made his “reservations” to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He looked forward to being reunited with his wife and sons. At his passing, he said, “I’ll see you again.”
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: his wife, Teresia Kay McDowell Stafford; and his sons, Gregory Dale Stafford and Wesley Alan Stafford. He leaves to mourn his passing: his children, Eric (Nina) Stafford, of Mt. Sterling, and Tracie (Nicky) Roark, of Maysville; a special step-daughter, Tiffany Bowers; his grandchildren, Jonathan, Josh, Katie, Chase, Carter and Payton; and three great-grandchildren. Until we meet again, Dad, breathe easy.
Memorial services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 14, at Germantown Baptist Church, 46 Water Street, Germantown, Kentucky 41044. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the church. Palmer Funeral Home and Crematory, in May’s Lick, is assisting the family.
