  William Mills was a son of Thomas and Sara Cruey Mills. Thomas was united in marriage with Mary Allen on December 24, 1890 in Dearborn County, Indiana. Shortly after being married William and Mary moved to Maysville, Kentucky where their first two children were born: sons Hubert and Walter. By 1899 the couple had returned to Dearborn County where their only daughter was born in June of 1899.
