Max LuJan, 76, of Sulphur, Ky., died Sunday, Sept. 7, 2003, at his residence.
He was born Nov. 23, 1926, in Cimarron, N.M., the son of Maximiano and Sara Vigil LuJan. He was a retired postal employee, having worked at the post office in Sulphur. He was a retired U.S. Army career man, having served 20 years, six months and 14 days, and having retired as a staff sergeant.
Surviving are one daughter, Rhonda Hope Thompson Fortney of Lawrenceburg, Ky.; one cousin and one aunt.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Donna Ray Stafford, in 1979.
Services will be at 11 a.m. EDT Thursday at the Graham-Dunn Funeral Home in Carrollton, with burial in the English Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. EDT today at the funeral home.
Full military honors will be conducted at the graveside by the U.S. Army Honor Guard from Fort Knox, Ky.
