William A. Stewart, 92, of Bandera, died Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2002, in a San Antonio Care Center. He was born Jan. 27, 1910, in Clarksville to Walter G. and Maude Self Stewart. On Aug. 27, 1931, he married Nancy Rosita Wilkins in Carlsbad, N.M. She preceded him in death on Sept. 6, 1991. Mr. Stewart was a retired oil well driller and had been a Bandera County resident for over 30 years. Survivors include his nieces, Dorothy Darden of Bandera, Juanita Zellars and her husband Guy of Odessa, Joanne Sampson and husband Joe of Tomball; nephews, Wendel Don Darden and wife, Jo, of Wascom, Guy Wilkins and wife Norma of Ogden, Utah, Ray Wilkins and wife Billie of Odessa; numerous grand and great-nieces and nephews.
