Elie Dodson was widely known throughout this section and was well liked by everyone. In the early days, he conducted the town's livery stable and when the machine age arrived to deprive him of that business, he turned to the transfer business, which he operated with mule teams until he was enabled to motorize his own units of transportation . He remained in this business until his advancing age forced his retirement a few years ago.
