A. C. Buchanan
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia St. with Kurtis Spidel of Faith Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery.
Mr. Buchanan was born in Indian Territory on June 21, 1927, and grew up in Turkey. He served in the Navy and was a veteran of World War II. He married Billie Stafford in Hedley in 1947. He worked in the oil fields of the Panhandle.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 1994.
Survivors include four daughters, Janice Willis and Peggy Bellar, both of Amarillo, Tommie Jo Buchanan of Lubbock, and Shirley Vicco of Coventry, R.I.; a son, Kenneth Buchanan of Sommerville, S.C.; a sister, Marie Hicks of Marietta, Okla.; a brother, Porter Buchanan of Marietta, Okla.; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
The family suggests memorials be to BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79176.

He was born in Harold, Texas June 21, 1927 his grandson was confused with his write up. His birth certificate - his mother Jewel was born in Oklahoma.
