  Leon H. Downs, 74, of Burkesville, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2019. Born January 21, 1945, he was the son of the late Andrew Jackson “Jack” and Lucy Stafford Downs. He loved his grandkids, farming, fishing, and animals, especially the dog “Bill”. Leon is survived by his sons: Tony (Becky) Downs of Burkesville, Michael (Jennifer) Downs of Lawrenceburg, and Anthony Downs of Bradsfordsville; daughters: Andrea Downs of Hustonville, Keisha Downs of Hustonville, Samantha Downs of Crab Orchard, and Stephanie Downs of Lexington; 20 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. Services at 11 am, Saturday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home with burial in Caney Fork Cemetery. Pallbearers are Alan Downs, Ethan Johnson, Matthew Slone, James Miller, Daniel Mann, Paul Downs, and Gracie Johnson. Honorary pallbearer are William “Tiny” Stafford, George Moberly, and Steve Martin.
