  Indianapolis Star Indianapolis, Indiana August 20, 1944 William C. Brown Dies In Daughter's Home Here William C. Brown, 88 years old, a resident of Indianapolis 30 years, died Friday in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Paul E. Beam, 1062 West 43d street, after an illness of several months. Mr. Brown, a native of New Liberty, Ky., was a member of the Christian church. His wife, Mrs. Katie L. Brown, died in 1930. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon in the J. C. Wilson chapel of the chimes. Burial will be in Crown Hill cemetery. Survivors besides Mrs. Beam are two sons, Arthur S. Brown, of Glens Valley and Orin C. Brown of Indianapolis; another daughter, Mrs. G. R. Burnett of Indianapolis; a brother, Walter S. Brown of Knoxville, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Sergt. Carl Burnett of San Diego, Cal.; Mrs. Lynn Jarvis of Grenada, Miss.; Midshipman Paul E. Beam Jr. of Annapolis, Md., and Robert Brown Beam of Indianapolis, and a great-granddaughter, Cheryl Sue Burnett. Transcribed by: GenealogyGirl
