  Maxine Stafford, age 93, of Liberty, KY passed away on Tuesday February 7th, 2017 at the Bluegrass Hospice Care Center in Lexington, KY. She was born in Liberty, KY on September 1st, 1923 a daughter of the late George M. and Ada Brown Hatter. Maxine was a Teacher and Instructional Supervisor for the Casey County School System, she was in the WAVES (Womens Accepted Volunteer Emergency Services) for the Navy during WWII and was a member of Westside Christian Church. Maxine was the widow of Forrest “Bub” Stafford. Besides her parents and spouse Maxine was preceded in death by Two Sisters: Lizzie and Geneva Hatter. Visitation will be held 6:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. Friday February 10th, 2017 at Westside Christian Church and after 12:00 Noon on Saturday February 11th, 2017 at Westside Christian Church. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. on Saturday February 11th, 2017 at Westside Christian Church. Bro. Marty Shackelford officiating. Burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery with Military Rites by the Casey County Honor Guard.
