OVERTAKEN BY TRAIN, MAN FALLS FROM HIGH BRIDGE
FRED WILSON, WITH BACK BROKEN, BROUGHT HERE FROM WORTHVILLE.
Suffering from a fracture of the spinal column and other injuries resulting from a fall of fifty feet into the rocky bed of a creek when he was overtaken by a train on a trestle near Worthville, Fred Wilson, of that place, was brought to Louisville last night and is in a serious condition at Sts. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital.
Wilson was walking over the trestle on his way home when a Louisville-bound L. & N. freight train approached. In seeking safety at the side of the tracks he fell, and when found by villagers, who had been notified by the train crew, he was unconscious. He had not recovered upon arriving at the hospital, and physicians said last night, he had little chance of recovery.
