Linda Faye Stafford Ballew, 60, of Athens, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at Starr Regional Medical Center of Athens.
A native of Muskegon, Mich., and a longtime resident of McMinn County, she was a daughter of the late Joe Stafford and Mary Jo McMinn Stafford, and was also a great-granddaughter of Governor Joseph McMinn, founder of McMinn County. She owned and operated Tidy Office Cleaning Services.
Survivors include her husband of 29 years, Doyle Ballew of Athens; two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Jeff Brady of Athens, and Karrie and Don Sweet of Athens; stepdaughter, Rachel Key and husband, Chris, of Athens; stepson, Jeremy Ballew and wife, Misty, of Philadelphia; 10 grandchildren; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Dema Tucker of Jasper, Ga., Patsy and Billy Huckabee of Athens, Joann and James Morgan of Athens, and Jewel Cline of Athens; and two brothers, Earl Stafford of Athens, and William Finley Stafford of Athens.
Funeral services will be Monday, April 25, at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Ziegler Funeral Home with the Rev. James Morgan officiating. Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in McMinn Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Don Sweet, Jacob Chrisman, Randy Ballew, Leo Ballew, and Jeff Brady.
