James Scott Adams, 62, long-time resident of Montgomery County died Sunday night, September 21, at Tyler Holmes Hospital after a brief illness. Mr. Adams was a farmer and member of Scotland Baptist Church.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Lillian Adams, Winona; two stepsons, C.L. Stafford, Winona and Edwin Stafford, Memphis; one sister, Mrs. Madie Hawkins, Winona; one brother, Oscar Adams, Schlater, eight grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 23 at 2 p.m. at Oliver Chapel with Oliver Funeral Home in charge.
Pallbearers were Bob Eldridge, Lee Litton, Charles Stafford, Kenny Adams, Jimmy Hawkins and Mike Branch.
