rs. H. E. Graves Jr. of 511 Cedar St. died Wednesday afternoon in the King's Daughters Hospital following an illness. Her age was not available. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the sanctuary of the First United Methodist Church of Greenville with the Rev. Blanton Doggett and Dr. N. J. Golding officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenville Cemetery. National Funeral Home of Greenville has charge. Mrs. Graves was born in Vaiden and had been a resident of Greenville for 25 years. Active in church and civic organizations, Mrs. Graves had served as president of the Woman's Society of Christian Service, the Greenville Woman's Federated Club and the Alice Bell Garden Club. She was a member of the Belvidere Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the First United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, H. E. "Buddy" Graves Jr. of Greenville; her daughter, Mrs. Charles Sallis of Jackson; her mother, Mrs. Charles Galloway Boyett of Greenville and Memphis, Tenn.; a sister, Mrs. Hal Huddleston of Memphis, Tenn. and three grandchildren, Charles Graves Sallis, Victoria Sallis and David Sallis, all of Jackson. The family request that those desiring to send memorials should send them to the American Cancer Society or to other agencies effective in cancer research. Pallbearers will be Bill Huddleston, Lee Graves Jr., Bill Graves Jr., Randall "Pop" Imbler, J. W. Tarver, Sr. and W. G. Kimbrell.
