  Funeral services were held at New Orleans May 14 for Richard Scott Stafford. The 64-year old Montgomery County native died at his home there May 12. He spent his early life in and near Winona and was a member of Scotland Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Winona High School and received his B. A. degree from Memphis State University. At New Orleans, he was a member and a deacon of First Baptist Church. Last rites were held at the House of Bultman, New Orleans, with Dr. N. L. Stanfill officiating. Burial was in the Garden of Memories cemetery there. Mr. Stafford is survived by four sisters, Mattie L. Gordon Box and May Bell Reese, both of Winona; Claudia Post, Tallulah. Louisiana; and Daisy L. Casteel, Magee. Also, a brother, Robert A. Stafford, Jr., Grayson, Louisiana; and a son, Richard Scott Stafford, New Orleans. The Winona Times Winona, MS May 24, 1973
