  Last rites for James Preston Huffman were held Thursday afternoon, February 6th, at the Scotland Church with the Rev. John B. McBride of Vaiden, assisted by the Rev. H. B. Vinson officiating. Interment was in Scotland cemetery under the direction of Oliver Funeral Home. Pallbearers were X. L. Swindoll, Ed Sullivan, Taylor Everett, Billy Scruggs, Leath Bennett, C. D. Simpson and Henry McCreary. Mr. Huffman who passed away in Greenwood on February 5th after a lengthy illness was born in Carroll County on October 17, 1880. He married the Miss Maude Stafford, now deceased, on June 30, 1907. He was a member of the Hebron Methodist Church. He leaves three daughters, Mrs. Basil Bennett of Winona, Mrs. Earl White, Vaiden, and Mrs. Selma Sanford of Fayette, Ala.; two sons, Willard Huffman, Houston, and A. J. Huffman of Fayette, Ala.; a sister, Mrs. Molie Herring of Leland; a brother, Arden Huffman of Sumner; and ten grandchildren. The Winona Times Winona, MS February 14, 1958
