Services for Billy Don Stafford, 56, of Grand Prairie are set for 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church of Grand Prairie with the Rev. Jerry Poteet and the Rev. J. O. Lawler officiating. Burial will be at Southland Memorial Park. Mr. Stafford died Wednesday at a local hospital after a sudden illness.
Mr. Stafford was born in Lone Oak and was a longtime resident of that city. He lived in Grand Prairie for 43 years. Mr. Stafford owned and operated Drennan’s Florist in Grand Prairie with his wife, Emajean, for the past 13 years. He was a deacon at First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Emajean Stafford of Grand Prairie; a son, Ricky Don Stafford of Grand Prairie; a daughter Donna Lancaster of Grand Prairie; three brothers Wendel Stafford of Hawkins and Kenneth and Charles Stafford of Grand Prairie; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Eugene and Benny Head, Simon and Sam Taylor, Daner Stanbury and Nubbin Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of First Baptist Church of Grand Prairie.
