GLEASON: Services for Louise Upchurch Darnell, 87, were at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 20 at First Baptist Church in Gleason with the Rev. Kenneth Roberts officiating. Burial was in Hopewell Cemetery. Mrs. Darnell, retired employee of Kellwood, died Sunday, January 18 at McKenzie Health Care Center. She was born August 28, 1916 in Palmersville to the late Wilbur and Louisa McGehee Stigall. She was a member of the Gleason First Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Joyce Watts of Gleason; two stepdaughters, Jerry Darnell of Martin and Janice Newton of Paris; two grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; one great-grandchild and three step great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Willie B. Upchurch and R.V. Darnell. Galloway Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
