  Services for Oscar Elmer Stanford, 89, were today at Milledgeville Methodist Church with the Rev. Orville King officiating. Burial was in Milledgeville Cemetery with Casey Funeral Home of Henderson in charge. Mr. Stanford, a retired farmer, died Saturday afternoon at Hardin County Hospital in Savannah after a long illness. He was born in Giles County, son of the late Bill and Mollie Rogers Stanford, moved to Decatur County as a boy, and in 1913 married Pearl Stafford of Decatur County, who died in 1968. Mr. Stanford moved to the Mount Zion community of McNairy County in 1920 and farmed there until Mrs. Stanford's death. He lived with his daughter, Mrs. Otis Rickman, near Milledgeville until 1976, when he moved to the Tri-County Nursing Home in Adamsville. He was a member of Four-Square Church in Savannah. Other than his daughter, survivors include six grandchildren and ? great-grandchildren.
