  Charles Walter Stafford Jr was born on March 10, 1919 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the son of Charles Walter Stafford Sr (1898–1973) and Blanche (Schuyler) Stafford (1898–1989). Charles Jr was married on May 18, 1941 in Orange County, California to Elizabeth Rosa "Betty" Vosskuhler (1921–2007), the daughter of Earnest Vosskuhler and Marie (Sutherland) Vosskuhler. Living in Cumberland Furnace, Tennessee, he was 95 years old and a widower when he passed away on December 2, 2014 at Tristar Horizon Medical Center. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a son and a married daughter, while survivors included a daughter, daughter-in-law, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Per his request, his body was cremated, and no memorial services were held. Burial was in Potts Cemetery in Dickson County. Original obituary in Dickson Herald on December 10, 2014
