Houston Ward, 67, died Saturday, May 30, at Giles County Hospital.
Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon, June 1, at 2:00 o'clock in the chapel of Bennett-May Funeral Home with the Rev. Jacob Gardner and the Rev. Ed Blackburn of Savannah, officiating. Burial was in Chestnut Grove Cemetery.
A native of Giles County, he was born February 18, 1903, the son of the late Frank and Nancy Gilliam Ward.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Margie Sue Stafford Ward, Goodspring; one daughter, Mrs. Lizzie Ruth Reynolds, Nashville; one son, Clinton H. Ward, Pulaski; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Daisy Pratt, Nashville; and one brother, John Ward, Pulaski.
