Funeral services for Naeomia Grace "Nickie Maynord" Stafford, 79, of Allons, TN will be held at 2 P.M. on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Hall Funeral Home in Livingston, TN. Brother Randy Maynord and Brother Alan Baltimore will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Fellowship Cemetery in Allons, TN.
The family will receive friends and family on Friday from 6 PM – 8 PM and Saturday from 12 PM until the time of services.
Naeomia passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2021, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center with her daughters by her side.
She was born on December 22, 1941 in Allons, TN to the late Vanious and Gracie Reeder Maynord. She was the youngest of 8 siblings, all of whom have preceded her in death except her sister Adarene Lane.
In her younger years, she loved being with her large family and growing up with nieces and nephews that were not much younger than her; they were all playmates. She even made dresses for her niece's weddings. She loved her extended family and always kept up to date with what her nieces and nephews were doing, as well as great nieces and nephews.
In 1964, Naeomia completed LPN school and began her life-long career caring for others as a nurse. She worked for just over 20 years at Jackson County hospital in Gainesboro TN. She also spent many years providing care to people in their homes. She was an excellent nurse and was so thankful for the gifts of caring that God gave her.
She was a member of the Allons church of Christ.
She is survived by two daughters: Frances Bishop (Kevin) of Oneida, TN and Joanna Stafford of Allons, TN; 3 Grandsons: Levi Bishop of Knoxville, TN, William Bishop of Oneida, TN and Joseph Stafford of Allons, TN; 1 sister Adarene Lane of Orlando, FL; 1 sister-in –law Sadie Maynord of Allons, TN; Special friends Sadie Smith and Sara Wyatt; 9 special nephews and 13 special nieces as well as many great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 Brothers: Dennis, Doward, Don, and Robert Maynord and sister Lexie Jones, as well as her former husband Bobby Joe Stafford of Gainesboro.
Pallbearers for the service will be Manyord Nephews Danny, Dwain, John Pat and Jimmy as well as grandson William Bishop and family friend Chris Vanling. Honorary pallbearers will be Manyord Nephews Ronnie, Alan Wayne, Rick and Eric as well as grandson Joseph Stafford.
