Ova Lee Pigg, 86, passed away March 13, 2005, in Crossville. Services were held Tuesday, March 15, from the chapel of Crossville Memorial Funeral Home in Crossville with Paul Lee officiating. Burial followed at Crossville City Cemetery.
Mrs. Pigg was born May 17, 1918, in Gainesboro, TN. She was a mother and homemaker and of the Pentacostal faith.
The majority of her life was spent serving the Lord, fellowship, praying, testifying and witnessing. Raising a family has been her life-long testimony. All who knew her know she is still walking with the Lord.
She is survived by her sons, Lewis Ray Pigg of Crossville and Billy Pigg Jr. of GA; daughters Ella Mai Allen of Sparta, Gracie Bell Gross of Crossville and Elsie Irene Galloway of Crossville; sister Sally Horner of Dayton, OH; 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; and a host of sons and daughters-in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.
Special thanks is extended to Dr. Timothy Spitler, the nursing staff at Cumberland Medical Center and good friend Sheila Stone.
Mrs. Pigg was preceded in death by her husband, Willie D. Pigg; parents William Mounce Stafford and Minnie Bell Mee; daughters Betty Ray Pigg and Bessie Lucille Rauch; and six brothers and one sister.
Pallbearers were Timothy Fields, Matthew Fields, Joshua Fields, Barry Smith, Timothy Mullican and Glen Taylor. Honorary pallbearers were Brad Lewis, Odell Scott and Billy Scott.
Crossville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.
