JOHN W. 'JAY' WESTBROOK JOHN W. 'JAY' WESTBROOK, Jr. 8/17/1922 - 8/15/2016 WINTER HAVEN - John W. Westbrook, Jr. 'Jay,' age 93, passed away on August 15, 2016. Jay was born on August 17, 1922, in Eldorado, Illinois. He moved to Florida in 1954 from Forrest City, Arkansas. Jay was preceded in death by his wife, Mary G. Westbrook. Jay is survived by two daughters Jayne W. Barton and Rhonda S. Westbrook; a son Jeff Hargraves; 6 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. Jay was the owner of Jay's Grocery Store located on the corner of Avenue G and 28th Street in Inwood, Florida. Jay was a Mason and Army veteran. He was a hardworking man who loved to do woodworking. A visitation will be held Thursday, August 18, 2016, beginning at 10:00 am at Steele's Family Funeral Services. A graveside service will follow at Lakeside Cemetery beginning at 11:30 am.
