Mr. Billy Joe Stafford was born on December 16, 1951 in Macon County, Tennessee to the late Claude William Stafford and Martha Mae McCall Stafford. He was one of eleven children.
Besides Billy's parents; brothers, Ronnie Lee Stafford, Roger Lee Stafford, William, Jr. Stafford, Jerry Wayne Stafford, Timothy Michael Stafford, and Donnie Lee Stafford, grandparents, Jeff and Annie Stafford, and Dorothy Krantz Stafford, and brother-in-law, Larry Colter also preceded him in death.
Billy was married to the mother of his children, Barbara Love Stafford for several years. He has three sons, Brandal Allen Stafford, Barry Jake Stafford, and Bruce Alvin Stafford. He is also survived by; sisters, Linda Fay Colter, and Patricia Gail Woodard and husband Jackie Wayne, brothers, Terry Wayne Stafford and wife Scarlet, and Kenneth Ray Stafford, former wife, Barbara Love Stafford, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Billy was a handy-man and did not mind hard work; he recently was working for Donnie Steen doing yard work.
Everyone liked Billy and enjoyed talking with him.
Billy was an avid fisherman, spending the day at river bank was his type of enjoyment.
He also liked watching wrestling on television and being with his family. Billy would do for others before himself, especially when it came to his family.
Billy was saved at a tent meeting, as a teenage boy.
On Sunday morning, June 15th at the age of sixty-two, the Angels took Billy to his Heavenly home, where life's struggles will be no more. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends, but our loss is Heaven's Gain.
Funeral services for Billy Joe Stafford were conducted Wednesday, June 18th, at 11 am from the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Tony Hopkins officiating. Interment followed in the Roark Cemetery.
