Brian Stafford, 37 years old of Greenbrier, TN, passed away suddenly on Saturday, October 16, 2010 and went to be with his Lord. He was a very gifted young man who wrote & arranged music and was well known for his singing abilities. He was dedicated to the Lord at a very early age. He sang with the Sentinels Quartet for 4 years and for the last 6 years sang with the Resurrection Quartet. He was a loving and caring husband to Joyce, his wife of almost 17 years. He loved his sons, Zack and Wesley and was a tremendous father to both of them. He was a young man who was highly respected not only by his family, but also by co-workers and friends. He worked at Walker Hardware in Springfield and was a member of First Baptist Church in Ridgetop, TN. A Celebration of his life will be held, Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at First Baptist Church in Ridgetop, TN at 2 PM with Rev. John Blackwell officiating. He was preceded in death by Paternal Grandparents, Hugh & Gertie Stafford. He is survived by wife, Joyce Fry Stafford, Greenbrier, TN; sons, Zack & Wesley Stafford, Greenbrier, TN; parents, Richard & Brenda Richardson Stafford, Cumberland City, TN; grandparents, John & Minnie Richardson, Cumberland City, TN; brother, Scott (Lorenda) Stafford, Dover, TN; sister, Starla (Mitchell) Allen, Indian Mound, TN; niece, Amiee Allen, Indian Mound, TN; nephew, Nathan Stafford, Dover, TN; mother and father-in-law, Jack & Betty Fry, Greenbrier, TN. Visitation will be held, Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at Greenbrier Chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home from 4 to 8 PM and from 12 to 2 PM on Wednesday, the time of Celebration of Brian's life at the First Baptist Church in Ridgetop, TN. Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Stafford, nephew Morgan Stafford, nephew Stewart Allen, Mitchell Allen, Chester Birdwell, Sammy Birdwell & David Walker. Honorary pallbearers are Robert Holt, Jim Bishop, Mike Walker, and the "Men of First Baptist Church in Ridgetop". Interment will follow the service at the Greenbrier Cemetery in Greenbrier, Tennessee.
