  J. C. Linder, 71, of Smithville, passed away Friday, October 26, 2001, at St. Thomas Hospital. Linder attended House of Prayer and had been a Chevron employee. He was preceded in death by his parents, Classie and Flossie Bain Linder. Survivors include his wife, Clara Stafford Linder of Smithville; four sons, Danny Linder of Texas, Jerry Linder of Lebanon, and David Linder and Roger Linder both of Smithville; five daughters, Joyce Mayo, Lois Ann Page, Zettie Ervin, and Sue Caldwell all of Smithville, and Peggy Coppinger of McMinnville; 31 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; nine brothers, Bill Linder, Buford Linder, and Bobby Linder all of Smithville, Carl Linder and Joe Linder both of Indiana, Wayne Linder of Hartsville, Jackie Linder of Gallatin, Larry Linder of McMinnville, and Norman Linder of Lafayette; three sisters, Martha Caldwell and Ruby Keith both of Smithville and Helen Lawrence of Indiana. Services will be held Monday, October 29, 2001, at Love-Cantrell Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Adcock Cemetery. Bro. Danny Parker and Bro. Randy Gregory will officiate.
