OBITUARY OF CARRIE MAI CARR
Mrs. Carrie Mai Carr, age 93 of Hartsville, TN passed away or as she called it gained her "Great Reward" Sunday morning, June 27, 2021 at Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital, Lebanon, TN.
Mrs. Carr was born November 18, 1927 in Dixon Springs, TN the youngest of six children to the late Jacob and Mary Ann Marshall Stafford. She had a long career at J.C. Bradford in Nashville before moving back home to Hartsville in 1980 retiring from Marlene Industries about 25 year ago. A member of the First Baptist Church for over 30 years and always found the good in people. She loved to laugh and have fun, her family was the most important thing to her and she was known as "Grandpie" to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to dance the "Grandpie" dance which her family knew very well. She had many fun trips with her family to Gatlinburg which at Christmas time included her very dramatic opera versions of Christmas carols.
In addition to her Parents she was preceded in death by her Husband of 43 years, Fred Carr; Brothers, Rayburn, Carl & Jacob Stafford and Sisters, Irene Earps and Ruby Dales.
Survived by: Son, Mike (Regina) Carr; Grandchildren, Jason (Krissi) Carr & Heather (Danny) Bright; 3 Great Grandchildren, Zach, Zander & Zane Carr and Numerous Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Anthony Funeral Home at 2 PM Wednesday, June 30, 2021 conducted by Bro. Carroll Carman. Family and Friends to serve as pallbearers. Interment Hartsville Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 3 PM to 8 PM Tuesday and 12 Noon until service time Wednsday.
