Kenneth Raymond "Ken" Stafford, 82, of Shawnee, died Wednesday, April 18, 2013, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born March 7, 1931, in Wanette to George Tipton and Juanita (Wisdom) Stafford. He owned and operated Ken's Patio & Awning Company for over 35 years.
He married Carole Ann Townsend, the love of his life, June 19, 1955, in Henryetta.
He was a Corporal in Company L, 3rd BN, 21st Regiment of the 24th Infantry Division in the Korean War.
He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of Composite Lodge #107 in Shawnee.
He was an avid classic car enthusiast and collector. He enjoyed attending and competing in car shows, winning many awards and trophies throughout his life. He loved spending time with his family and especially enjoyed every moment he spent with his grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Clay Stafford, and grandson, Logan Suttle.
Survivors include his wife, Carole, of the home; daughters, Lisa Webb of Shawnee and Tina Suttle and husband Jeff of Shawnee; sons, Kenneth Stafford III and wife Dwyn of Shawnee and George Stafford II and wife Sherri of Shawnee; grandchildren, James Webb and wife Aine, Jonathan Webb and fiancée Teddy Dickinson, Lauren Kelly and Husband Clay, Matthew Suttle and wife Brittany, Sara Suttle, Megan Stafford, Kenneth Stafford III, and Tipton Stafford III, Clayton Stafford and Luke Stafford; great-granddaughter, Madilynn Suttle; sisterin- law, Marjorie Stafford; and many nieces and nephews and lifelong friends.
Services will be at 10 a.m., Monday, April 22, at Walker Funeral Service Chapel with Bill Matthews and Phil Thompson officiating. Burial will be at Tecumseh Cemetery.
