Notes |
Ms Susanna "ANNIE" BROWN was born about March 1850 in Prairie Creek, Vigo County, Indiana. Her parents were Mr Reuben Brown SR (born 1821 in North Carolina and died 1900 in Vigo County, Indiana) and Mrs Elizabeth Brown (nee Myers) who was born about 1822 in Pennsylvania (death unknown) and who married on 27 Oct 1842 in Vigo County, Indiana.
The 1850 United State Census reveals Susanna to have been age eight months (8/12), and the census was taken in November, 1850, so I have estimated her birth month to have been in March of the same year.
Records indicate Susanna "Annie" Brown married Mr Francis Marion Breazeale on 16 Mar 1871 "at the home of Mr Brown" in Jasper County, Missouri.
"I, John E Thomas, MG, hereby certify that Mr. Francis Breazeale & Ms. Susannah Brown were united in marriage at the residence of Mr. Brown in Jasper County, State of MO, on 16 Mar 1871. Given under my hand this 25 Mar 1871, John E Thomas".
The 1880 United States Census for Webb City, Jasper County, Missouri shows the young family consists of:
Francis Marion, white male, age 28, a blacksmith, born in Missouri;
Annie, white female, age 26, wife, keeping house, born in Indiana;
William D, white male, age 5, son, born in Missouri;
Rebecca A, white female, age 4, daughter, born in Missouri; and
Jessie May, white female, age 1, daughter, born in Missouri.
Her daughter, Abbie Adeline Breazeale, was born in 1881,
her daughter, Bertha Annise Breazeale, was born in 1889; and
her son, Chester Arthur Breazeale, was born in 1892.
Susanna Annie Brown Breazeale passed away in 1893 likely in the area of McDonald County, Missouri. Her burial details are unknown at this time, though records indicate that her youngest son, Chester Arthur, was born on 24 Apr 1892 in Elk Horn, McDonald County, Missouri.
