- Believe her full name was Mary Clementine. McConnell gives James Nott's
wife's name as "Clementine." Marriage license application for James Nott,
issued 3 Dec 1873, shows her name as "Mary." This would explain why the
name "Clementine" might not appear on the 1860 census form (the name of
the appropriate child, by age, was illegible, but did not appear to be
anything approaching "Clementine." A child of Fanny Nott and Alfred
Lochary was given the name, Mary Clementine, after her death, apparently
in her honor.
