  Confederate solder as documented in "36th Virginia Infantry" by J.L. Scott. Stafford, Adam F: Company I; enlisted April 16, 1862 in Giles County. Present until captured at Piedmont, June 5, 1864. POW Camp Morton. Died from inflamed lungs, April 30, 1865. Buried at Greenlawn Cemetery, grave #1552. "Up the Years from Buffalo" by Garland Reid Stafford referrences Fleming Stafford as follows: Died of Pneumonia as a POW in Chillicothe, Ohio. At this time I do not know if Camp Morton and Chillicothe, Ohio are related.
