• Notes

  According to Roscoe Whitman in "History and Genealogy of Stukely Westcott" Samuel enlisted in 1775. He was with General Montgomery at Crown Point in 1775, with General Arnold at Quebec in 1776, later doing garrison duty at St. John's, in 1777 he was with his father's regiment at Bennington, and in 1781 at Fort Paris in the Mohawk Valley.
