  Mrs Brown Stafford, an old and respected lady of Canajoharie, died at her residence Thursday morning at 6:30 o'clock, aged 74 years. Her father, John E Young, was a resident of Johnstown and she was born in that village. She became a member of the Episcopal church in early years and has been a regular attendant of that church all her life. She leaves many friends who are greatly grieved to learn of her death. She married the late Brown Stafford March 12, 1850, who for many years was a prominent businessman in Canajoharie. She leaves 3 children to mourn her loss - Mrs Frank A Montz of Saranac, Mrs James D McDiarmid and Harvey R Stafford of Canajoharie. Amsterdam Daily Democrat Friday August 18 1893
